ADS Volt/VAR Optimization (VVO) Working Group

Mission:

The Volt/VAR Optimization (VVO) Working Group is working in a collective way to educate policymakers and the public on the benefits of VVO and to promote regulatory policies that would contribute to accelerating deployment of VVO technologies by utilities and other grid operators. These benefits include energy conservation, demand response, and grid stability with a focus on managing voltage in the context of distributed generation.

Possible Activities:

• Survey ADS Membership
• Prepare summary of survey findings
• Write an article for the ADS newsletter
• Develop and solicit speakers for a webinar
• Work with ADS staff on speakers for upcoming events
• Create an annual committee report
